Lets Talk, Child Development!

As a mother of three daughters and a lover of books, I've always believed in the power of reading to inspire learning and spark curiosity in children. But it wasn't until I became a writer of children's literature that I truly understood the vital role that reading and conversation play in a child's development.

Research has shown that early childhood literacy is strongly linked to success in school and beyond. Reading with children from a young age not only helps them develop language and literacy skills, but also fosters social-emotional development, enhances cognitive development, and promotes a lifelong love of learning.

But it's not just about reading - it's also about conversation. Talking with children about the books they read helps them make connections between the story and their own experiences, and encourages them to explore new ideas and perspectives. These conversations can be a powerful tool for building language and critical thinking skills, and can help children develop empathy, resilience, and a sense of self.

That's why I believe that creating children's literature that promotes conversation is so important. My debut book, "Zaki the Lion Goes Exploring," was crafted with especially detailed illustrations to engage children's curiosity and spark meaningful conversations between children and their caregivers.

I'm excited to continue sharing my love of literature and the importance of reading and conversation in child development through my writing and my blog. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
